A tape measure had a bulky appearance to suit people using it on a construction site, its protective aspect reassures professional buyers. But not everyone is a do-it yourselfer and doesn't need to have such a sturdy meter to take some measurements and I wanted to redesign it.

How does it work ?
To better understand the technical aspects, I wanted to see the composition inside. Thanks to this, I started to schematize to build a technical plan and take into account all the constraints.

Symbolic name and details
Double arch for the symbolic of architecture and adjustable strap on the left and right.
The slider button is on a flat surface and has a slight hollow to encourage you to put your finger here. I chose to select a classic metal strip on a shelf because of the price. Around it, I preferred to hollow out the exit of the ribbon so that it disappears completely once rewound.
